Giving Thanks

The Chargers continued their playoff push Sunday night with a 23-20 loss to the Indianapolis Colts.
The Bolts are now 4-7, which would normally negate any talk of playoffs.
Did somebody say, "Playoffs? Playoffs?" (You can never tire of Jim Mora).
But Charger fans should consider themselves blessed this holiday season because, even at 4-7, this team is not out of it yet.
Yeah, the Chargers are very thankful to be playing in the worst division in football.
"There isn't another 4-7 team in the league that still has a chance," said quarterback Philip Rivers, whose team remained two games behind first-place Denver in the AFC West after the Broncos got pounded at home by the lowly Raiders on Sunday.
So consider this a huge wasted opportunity for the Chargers.
Meanwhile, in other news Sunday, San Diego State fired football coach Chuck Long ... because, you know, that program has such high standards to live up to.
